Which website software should I use.

Personally, I think this is quite a controversial subject, and every person has their own view as to which (so called) Adsense Software is best to use. Without a doubt though, the most popular one's that stand out from the crowd at this moment in time are: WordPress, Drupal, and last but certainly not least Free HTML Web Templates.
Now like I said before, it all boils down to personal choice here, so I'm not going to try tell you what you "should" use. But here is my own view on things. Yes, blogging software like "WordPress" and "Drupal" are free, powerful, have adsense ready plugins available, and make it very easy to write an article and get it published fast. So you'd think that's the natural choice to go with then!

Well, actually I'd say "No", and instead say use a HTML Website Template (which does require you to know a little about working with CSS Style Sheets and HTML code). However, if you have no knowledge of working with HTML or CSS code, your probably just better off sticking with something you "can" work with, such as WordPress or Drupal for the time being. Until you develop the knowledge needed to work with stand alone HTML Templates.
Anyway, you might be wondering why I'd personally always use HTML Templates out of pure curiosity - and I'll tell you why. In general, you have "much more" control over what you can do to your site, how it will perform in terms of speed, and where your adsense ads will appear on every web page you create. Along with some other important factors you should think long and hard about (such as HTML Templates don't require a database) to function.

Basically, it's much easier to work with HTML Templates, and once your website is created and live online. You don't have to do much of anything else, and can just sit back and enjoy it! You won't have to worry about things like future "Database Problems" you might encounter (like you would with other web software out there which requires the use of a MySQL Database). Nor, do you have to worry about new software "Upgrades" you might have to install, which could cause problems yet again.
I'm sure you get the hint of what I'm trying to get across to you, but don't let me put you off using other web software. Like I said at the start of this article, it's a very controversial subject. And this is just my own personal view on things. There are many Blogging sites out there using WordPress for example, that are making good money from Adsense Ads. So the choice has to be yours alone to make!
Anyway, here is a short list of features you should be making sure the web software you choose supports. While it's not necessary that it supports all the features listed below. web software that does should be high at the top of your list to go with first.
1: Web software is both "W3C CSS Valid" and "W3C XHTML Valid" (Strict or Transitional).
This is quite important, especially if the software validates to "XHTML 1.1 Strict", because your looking for web software that is cross-browser compatible. This site is W3C Strict - Try viewing it in "Firefox, Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and Opera etc". It's looks the same in all the browsers, which is what you want!
2: Makes use of "Mod Re-Write" to produce search engine friendly "Static" pages.
If you want your web pages produced, that have your Adsense Ads are displayed on. To get indexed fast in search engines, it's very important that the web software you use makes use of Mod Re-Write, and also your server host used supports this feature. What this does is let your web software (such as WordPress and Drupal), create static pages - which search engines love. And as a result, will index your pages fast.
3: Supports Adsense Plugins, or comes with template editing tools (so you can add Adsense manually yourself that way).
It's not vitally important for your web software to support "Adsense Plugins" like (WordPress and Drupal) does for example. But it can make life a hell of lot easier when your software used can automatically inject Adsense Banners into all your sites web pages produced itself using the adsense plugin. If the web software your looking at doesn't support this feature - at least make sure it comes with "Template Editing Tools", which are usually built into the Administration section. This will allow you to add Adsense Banners that way manually. If it supports neither, leave it well alone!
To sum up:
I've pointed out some of the best web software to use for your Adsense Ads to be displayed on, that being WordPress, Drupal and HTML Templates. As well as giving you a list of things you should expect the web software to support. You can now move on to "Article 4", where we'll talk about Adsense Banner placement, colour's to use and more.
